If you are a kinesthetic learner, chances are activity will improve your memory retention. So here are a few study habits that can help you:

Chew gum. The movement will be calming and the activity can stimulate learning.

Use pencils, colored markers or highlighters to color code your map or notes.

Silently tap your leg or bounce your foot to get the stimulus you need to learn.

Retype your notes into a computer. Change font colors of important things to remember.
Go for a walk and recite what you need to learn out loud while walking.

Write your notes out on paper. Sometimes rewriting it will commit it better to memory.
